Man Held On $800K Bond, Accused Of Sexual Assault: New Milford Police

NEW MILFORD, CT — A man has been charged in connection to a sexual assault investigation, and he is being held in lieu of an $800,000 bond, police said.
On April 19, New Milford police detectives began an investigation into a complaint of an "adult male sexually assaulting a juvenile female," police said.
Ryan Shaun Kvale, 41, was identified as the suspect, and he is charged with the following:

- second-degree sexual assault
- four counts of risk of injury/illegal sexual contact
- two counts of sale or delivery of alcohol to a minor
- three counts of risk of injury/impairing morals of children
- criminal attempt at second-degree sexual assault
- criminal attempt at risk of injury/illegal sexual contact
- illegal distribution of cannabis to a minor
- three counts of fourth-degree sexual assault
- three counts of registration of person who has committed a sexually violent offense
Police said they initially couldn't locate Kvale, but detectives worked closely with the U.S. Marshals Service to "track the fugitive."
He was taken into custody in New Haven on Friday, police said.
