Multiple Cars Damaged In New Milford Blaze

The cause of the Monday night fire is under investigation, according to the fire marshal's office.

NEW MILFORD, CT — Six parked cars were damaged in a Monday night fire on Danbury Road, fire officials said.

Firefighters were dispatched around 8:43 p.m. Monday to a fire behind 190 Danbury Rd., according to the fire marshal’s office.

That address is home to a family-owned and operated towing and automotive business, Brownie's Towing & Recovery.

When firefighters arrived, they found about six cars impacted by fire, and they extinguished the blaze in about 30 minutes.

The fire was contained to an outside, secured fenced-in area, fire officials said. Firefighters were able to prevent the fire from spreading or damaging surrounding property.

No buildings or structures were involved, and there were no injuries, according to the fire marshal’s office.

Fire Marshal Kevin Reynolds and Deputy Fire Marshal Ed Pagan are investigating the cause and origin of the fire.
