New Milford Hiring Armed School Security Officers

NEW MILFORD, CT — The town is accepting applications for the position of armed school security officer. Three officers are being hired at a salary of $25 per hour.

"The responsibilities for this position include carrying out existing district and school procedures and programs related to school security and safety functions," the job listing reads.

The position reports to the Chief of Police.

To be considered, applicants must be a retired federal, state, or municipal police officer who is eligible to be certified as an Armed School Security Officer with the State of Connecticut.
