New Milford Man Charged With Sexual Assault Of A Minor
The child sexual assault investigation began following a complaint made on March 30 to the New Milford Police Department.
NEW MILFORD, CT — An investigation into a sexual assault case by the New Milford Police Department has led to an arrest and charges.
The investigation began following a complaint made regarding a sexual assault of a minor that occurred on March 30, 2024.
On May 3, Daniel Restitute Valerio, 51, of New Milford, was arrested by warrant at the New Milford Police headquarters.

Valerio has been charged with fourth degree sexual assault; and injury, or risk of injury to, or impairing the morals of children. Police released Valerio on a court set $35,000 bond and scheduled him to appear in Torrington Superior Court on May 3.
