New Milford Man Hits Motorcyclist in Serious Crash in Danbury: Police
According to police, a Winters Brothers garbage truck driver collided with a man on a motorcycle on White Street in Danbury.
DANBURY, CT — Danbury police responded to a serious motor vehicle accident on Friday morning that sent one man to the hospital as a result of his injuries. Police said that at approximately 8:40 a.m., they received a call for a serious motor vehicle collision at the entrance to Winter Brothers Waste Systems located at 307 White Street.
According to police, a motorcyclist and garbage truck collided when the driver of the Mack truck hit a motorcyclist when his view became obstructed by a tractor trailer. The motorcyclist was identified as Eric Ganser, 45, of Fairfield, who was traveling westbound on a 2006 Harley Davidson. Police said that Ganser was behind a large tractor-trailer obstructing the view of Sean Scozzafava, 40, of New Milford. Scozzafava was operating a 2005 Mack truck owned by Winter Brothers Waste Systems. Sean Scozzafava was turning left from White St. into the entrance of 307 White St. when he struck Eric Ganser. Gasner was later transported to Danbury Hospital for injuries sustained in the collision, police said.
