New Milford Man Sentenced On Child Pornography Charges
A New Milford man has been sentenced to prison after he pleaded guilty to charges, according to police.
NEW MILFORD, CT — A New Milford man has been sentenced to 18 years in prison on child pornography charges, according to police.
Michael Almeida pleaded guilty to two counts of first-degree possession of child pornography and two counts of accessory to employing a minor in an obscene performance.
He was sentenced May 9 to 30 years in prison, suspended after 18 years, and 20 years of probation.

New Milford police received notification from the Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce in 2022 that a New Milford resident may be in possession of child pornography.
An investigation led police to discover child pornography on devices Almeida owned, police said.
