New Milford Mayor Tries To Fill 107 Positions: Report

New Milford Mayor David Gronbach was defeated in November's election.

NEW MILFORD, CT — In his final town council meeting, New Milford Mayor David Gronbach tried to fill 107 positions on town boards, but his efforts were foiled, reports the News Times.

Gronbach tried to fill the positions on 31 town boards during what was supposed to be his final Town Council meeting. However, Gronbach's candidates failed in a 3-3 vote.

Town Council needed a two-thirds majority to vote the candidates through. Gronbach can call a special meeting next week. He was defeated by Mayor-elect Pete Bass during November's election, and Bass will take office next month.
