New Milford Mourns High School Honor Student & Hockey Star
A memorial service for William Neeb will be held this weekend.
NEW MILFORD, CT — A memorial service for William Neeb, the New Milford High School student who lost his life in a car crash Monday night, will be held this weekend.
Friends and family will gather for a Celebration of Life Service to be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Admiral Stockdale Arena, 40 Bulls Bridge Road in South Kent.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, Dec. 21 from 3 to 7 p.m. at Walnut Hill Church, 19 Dorwin Hill Road in New Milford. Burial will be private.

The 11th grade honors student and hockey star is survived by his parents, Debi and Bill Neeb, sister Madeline Bouzakis (Chris) of New Milford and Amanda Neeb (Timmy Regan) of New Milford, according to his obituary posted on the Lillis Funeral Home website.
"His departure leaves us all with an unfillable void in our lives, yet we find comfort in the memories of his everlasting love and his smile. The outpouring of love and support of his friends, teammates and the community have impacted us in ways words cannot express," the family wrote.

Neeb's death was caused by "blunt force trauma of head and torso," according to the state Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
The New Milford Police Department received word of the accident at around 8:09 p.m. First responders to the area of 200 Pickett District Road found a GMC Acadia off the road and through a fence with significant damage, according to the police report. Neeb was pronounced deceased at the scene, according to Lt. Katherine Relyea.
Neeb was "deeply passionate about sports, constantly striving to be the best he could be in the sports he loved while carrying himself with grace and humility," according to his obituary.
A memorial fund has been established. Contributions may be made to Will Neeb Memorial Scholarship Fund, care of Edward Jones, 329 Danbury Road, New Milford, CT 06776.
