NEW MILFORD, CT — On the heels of the state's longest-ever budget impasse, the 2017 municipal elections will be instrumental in the town's direction. On Nov. 7, residents hit the polls and vote for various local positions. Polls were open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Challenger Pete Bass has defeated incumbent David Gronbach for in the town mayor's race according to unofficial figures, reports the News Times.
