Obituary: Flora Y. Fiandra, 82, Of New Milford

Flora Y. (Simonelli) Fiandra, age 82, of New Milford, passed away at New Milford Hospital on October 14, 2017. She was born on December 31, 1934 in Danbury the daughter of Erziario and Florence Simonelli.

Flora graduated from Laurelton Hall in Branford CT and worked in the attendance office at Brookfield High School for 25 years.

Flora is survived by her husband Ciro J. Fiandra, children Tom Fiandra, Gary Fiandra, Maryanne Capron, Diane Kazlauskas and her husband George, and Greg Fiandra, as well as her five grandchildren Joseph Fiandra, Alexis Fiandra, Dan Capron, Taylor Fiandra, and Andrew Fiandra.

In addition she is survived by her brother Dr. Joseph M. Simonelli of Danbury, her sister-in-law Irene Simonelli, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was pre-deceased by a son John and a daughter Debra as well as her brothers Bob and Ted Simonelli.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at St. Joseph Church, Danbury. Burial will follow in St. Peters Cemetery.

Friends will be received from 4pm-8pm on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street., Danbury. Donations in Flora's memory can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital , 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or a charity of one's choice.
