Probate Judge Arrested for Strangulation Granted Program to Have Charges Dropped
The Brookfield/New Milford Probate Judge could have charges dropped if he completes a diversionary program. BREAKING
NEW MILFORD, CT — Martin Landgrebe, Probate Court Judge for the Brookfield and New Milford area, could have charges against him dropped if he completes a year-long diversionary program, according to The News Times. Landgrebe was arrested on charges of strangulation after turning himself in on a warrant on Aug. 9, 2016.
Landgrebe was charged with third-degree strangulation and disorderly conduct for an incident that occurred on Aug. 8, according to the Connecticut Post. Landgrebe is the judge of Connecticut’s new Housatonic Probate District, which serves 65,000 residents in the towns of Bridgewater, Brookfield, New Fairfield, New Milford and Sherman according to his website.
