Smoke Shop Ordered Closed After Compliance Check: New Milford Police
Police said that "several violations" were found during the inspection, prompting authorities to temporarily close the business.
NEW MILFORD, CT — A smoke shop in New Milford has been temporarily closed after several violations were found during a compliance check on Wednesday, according to police.
New Milford police, in collaboration with the Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services, Department of Labor, and Department of Consumer Protection, conducted the compliance check at M&D Smoke and Vape Shop on Kent Road.
Police said that “several violations were identified” during the inspection, prompting authorities to temporarily close the business.

“We have zero tolerance for these criminals, who have no regard for the law and who obviously don’t care that these illegal vapes, gummies and marijuana might end up in the hands of our youth,” New Milford Police Chief Spencer Cerruto said in a statement. “The business is temporarily closed and an arrest is imminent.”
