What To Do For Memorial Day Weekend 2024 In New Milford

Falling on the last Monday of May each year, Memorial Day honors those who lost their lives while serving in the military. It's a federal holiday that many people get off from work, resulting in a three-day weekend.

Litchfield Hills Farm Fresh Market

When: Saturday, May 25 – 10:00 a.m.
Where: Center School, 125 West St., Litchfield, CT 06759
What: A short drive away, the Litchfield Hills Farm Fresh Market is opening its outdoor market for the summer. Visitors can explore nearly 30 local vendors with produce and baked goods.

Fleetwood Mac Tribute Show

When: Sunday, May 26 – 6:00 p.m.
Where: Aquila’s Nest Vineyards, 56 Pole Bridge Rd., Sandy Hook, CT 06482
What: Down the road, a Fleetwood Mac tribute band called “Little Lies” will take the stage. Attendees will hear some of Fleetwood Mac’s biggest hits from throughout the group’s history.

New Milford Memorial Day Parade

When: Monday, May 27 – 10:00 a.m.
Where: New Milford Town Green, 25 Main St. New Milford, CT 06776
What: Community members are invited to gather at the New Milford Town Green to honor and remember the sacrifices of America’s fallen soldiers. This year’s parade will feature a fly-over.

Annual Memorial Day Parade And Picnic

When: Monday, May 27 – 11:00 a.m.
Where: Main Street South and Ballantine Park, 611 Old Field Rd., Southbury, CT 06488
What: In nearby Southbury, the annual Memorial Day Parade will begin at Pomperaug Office Park and end at the Veterans Memorial Green. After the parade, attendees are invited to join the Family Day Picnic at Ballantine Park.
