Woman Charged with Selling Heroin That Killed 35-Year-Old New Milford Man: Report
A Connecticut woman is accused of selling the lethal heroin that killed a New Milford man after police say she knew it was deadly.
NEW MILFORD, CT — A 57-year-old Torrington woman has been charged with selling deadly fentanyl-laced heroin that caused the death of a 35-year-old New Milford man, according to The News Times. Dana Baxter, 57, allegedly sold the heroin to Anthony Buonaiuto, 31, of Washington, who then sold it to a New Milford man after the pair both knew it was "bad heroin," police said.
Court records show that Buonaiuto was arrested last January and charged with sale of illegal drugs, conspiracy to commit sale of illegal drugs and second degree manslaughter. He is being held on $150,000 bond and is due in court for a pre-trial hearing on Sept. 23, 2016.
Baxter is facing three felony charges, was released on a $75,000 bond and is due in court for a pre-trial hearing on Oct. 7, 2016.
