2 Newtown Residents to Star in Brookfield Theatre for the Arts Show 'Bare'

Willem Sandercox and Victoria Madden of Newtown will star in the pop opera on stage in July at The Brookfield Theatre for the Arts.

The Brookfield Theatre for the Arts (TBTA) presents the pop opera 'Bare' each weekend this July. Shows are Fri. and Sat. at 8PM with matinees on Sun. July 17 and 24 at 2PM.
The show opened last Friday to standing ovations and has received two favorable reviews. Jim Cooper of OnStage wrote "...director Todd Santa Maria, music director Joyce Flanagan and the entire cast throw themselves energetically into making this an entertainment worth your attention."

The cast includes Stephen Moores and Sara Gardner of Brookfield, Josephine Harding and Andrew Olson of New Milford, Kate Valiska, Victoria Rojas, and Aia Lopez of Danbury, Newtown residents Willem Sandercox, Victoria Madden, Emily Crebbin and Aidan Petershack, Tyler Carey of Ridgefield, Nathan Clift of Trumbull, Renee Sutherland of Middletown, and Loretta Fedrick of Naugatuck. Additional cast members include Shannon Denihan, Stephen Dickson, and Janice Gabriel who is also a producer of the show along with Nicole Veach and Desirae Carle. The show is stage managed by Jaclyn Bonamo of New Milford.

The show is directed by Todd Santa Maria with musical direction by Ridgefield's Joyce Flanagan. It features a six piece band including Karl Gonzalez of Brookfield, Sandy Kleisner of Kent, Lauren Chakraboty, Elizabeth Dickson, and Brianna LoCicero, with Allegra Pin of Danbury on drums.

Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for students. This show is not intended for young audiences. Suggested age is high school and older. The theater is located at 184 Whisconier Rd., just behind the Brookfield Library.
