Danbury Teen Killed In Newtown Crash: Police
Four others were injured, two critically, police said.
NEWTOWN, CT — A 19-year-old woman from Danbury was killed and four other people were injured in a crash early Sunday in Newtown, according to police.
The deceased, a passenger named Mary Cordero, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Emergency personnel responded around 2:40 a.m. to the crash on Berkshire Road just west of Zoar Road.

The incident occurred when the driver of a 2017 Ford Mustang that was speeding west failed to negotiate a curve, causing the car to leave the road and strike a large tree, according to police.
Four of the vehicle’s occupants were taken to Danbury Hospital, two of whom suffered critical injuries.
