Driver Hospitalized After Rollover Crash On South Main Street In Newtown
A medical emergency led to a rollover crash on South Main Street in Newtown. The driver was taken to Danbury Hospital.

NEWTOWN, CT — Botsford Fire Rescue responded to multiple calls on the south side of town Wednesday, including a rollover crash on South Main Street.
The crash occurred around 4 p.m. when a motorist experiencing a medical emergency attempted to pull onto Pecks Lane, striking a utility pole, according to officials. The collision caused the vehicle to overturn.
Newtown police helped the driver and a pet exit the vehicle. The driver was transported to Danbury Hospital with injuries that were not immediately disclosed. Officials said the medical episode contributed to the crash.

Earlier in the day, crews responded to a false fire alarm at 6:08 a.m. and assisted emergency medical services at 9:10 a.m.
