DUI For Driver Parked on South Main, Man Charged With Drug Possession

The following arrest information was supplied by the Newtown Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A vehicle was broken into and a GPS was stolen on Cherry St. in Newtown during the overnight hours of Nov. 8 – Nov. 9. Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact the Newtown Police Department at (203) 426-5841.

Tiffany Losito, 24, of Danbury, was charged with operating a vehicle under a suspended license and traveling unreasonably fast on Nov. 10 at approximately 4:48 p.m. after police observed her speeding on Hanover Rd. in Newtown.

Losito was released on promise to appear and is scheduled to appear in Danbury Superior Court on Nov. 20.

Paramjeet Dhillon, 43, of Cos Cob, was charged with DUI and improper parking on Nov. 8 at approximately 11 p.m. after police observed his vehicle stationary and idling in the southbound lane of South Main St. in Newtown.

Dhillon was released on $200 cash bond and is scheduled to appear in Danbury Superior Court on Nov. 27.

George Holihan, 24, of Sherman, was charged with possession of less than .5oz of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to have tail lamps on Nov. 10 at approximately 10:05 p.m. after police observed him driving with inoperable tail lamps on Main St. in Newtown.

Holihan also had an outstanding warrant for his arrest issued by State Police out of Troop ‘A’ in Southbury for a DUI offense earlier this year.

Holihan was processed by Newtown Police and then transferred to State Police for further processing.

Matthew Deluca, 26, of Bristol, was charged with operating a vehicle under a suspended license on Nov. 11 at approximately 1:50 p.m. after police observed him speeding and using his phone without a hands free device on Main St. in Newtown.

Deluca also has an outstanding warrant for his arrest issued by West Hartford Police for failure to appear on operating under a suspended license.

Deluca was processed by Newtown Police and then transferred to West Hartford Police for further processing.
