New Details in Gun Case Against Former Newtown Teacher: Report

Breaking: A former teacher was accused of bringing a loaded gun into Newtown Middle School last April.

NEWTOWN, CT — Charges against a former Newtown Middle School teacher accused of bringing a loaded gun to school are expected to be dismissed, reports FOX 61. Jason Adams successfully completed a nine-month probbation program that allows his charges to be erased, according to his attorney John Maxwell.

Adams is accused of bringing a .45-caliber pistol into Newtown Middle School last April. He had a permit for the gun, but bringing firearms on school grounds is against state law. Adams brought the weapon to school after receiving threatening messages from Sandy Hook conspiracy theorists, according to Maxwell.
