Newtown To Hand Out More Free Coronavirus Test Kits This Week

NEWTOWN, CT — Newtown has scheduled several days next week to distribute free coronavirus test kits to residents, after they sign up online, officials announced.

Kits are scheduled to be handed out on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

"If you have already received one previously, please do not sign up again as there is not enough supply for every resident," officials said. "Duplicate appointments will be canceled."

To obtain a kit:

• Proof of residency and confirmed appointment will be required.
• Please have your email confirmation and your ID ready when you arrive at the distribution site.
• Only arrive during your scheduled time slot.
