Newtown Police Seek Public's Help Catching suspect in 5 Sandy Hook Burglaries

Newtown police are searching for the suspect involved in five burglaries in Sandy Hook on Thursday, July 21 and Friday, July 22, 2016.

NEWTOWN, CT — The Newtown Police Department is searching for the man they say is involved in five Sandy Hook burglaries, according to a report. Police said the man who they believe committed the residential burglaries on Thursday, July 21 and Friday, July 22, 2016.

One of the victim's homes had video surveillance which captured images of the suspect inside the home, police said. The man is described by police as a bald white man wearing a white baseball hat with blue on the brim, a horizontal striped grey and blue white and khaki shorts.

Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call police at 203-426-5841.
