Newtown Public Schools On Two-Hour Delay Tuesday, March 19
A winter storm is blowing through Newtown Tuesday, causing possible commuter headaches in the morning.

Newtown public schools will be on a two-hour delay today -- Tuesday, March 19 -- as another late-winter storm passes through Newtown and other parts of western Connecticut. There will be no AM kindergarten.
The National Weather Service says residents can expect overnight snowfall of between 3 to five inches. The forecast from the National Weather Service:
- Tuesday: Rain, freezing rain, and sleet, becoming all rain after noon. High near 40. Northeast wind 7 to 11 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New ice accumulation of less than a 0.1 of an inch possible. New sleet accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
- Tuesday Night: A chance of rain showers before 9pm, then a slight chance of snow showers after 11pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 24. West wind 7 to 11 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
