How did you come up with the name?

My Father came up with it and I decided to use it.

Why choose that location? Why start a business in this town?

I grew up In Newtown in the Dodgingtown area, I was already involved in the fire department next door before I opened up. The opportunity came up to lease the space I am in so I went for it.

Briefly, what business are you in?

Computer sales, service and repair. I offer services to residential and commercial customers.

What’s the most difficult moment or challenge you’ve faced as a business owner?

The times that I am stretched thin with work. Learning how to juggle multiple projects at the same time.

Were there any challenges that made you second guess your decision to be an entrepreneur?

Like any small business, there are good times and difficult times, however overall I am pleased with my choice to be self-employed.

What’s been your favorite moment or proudest achievement since opening?

I would have to say earning my customers’ trust to work on their equipment. It a great feeling when customers like real estate agents, attorneys, doctors, businesses and home users have confidence in your work performance.

How do you deal with difficult customers?

I have been lucky that difficult customers are few and far between. In 99.9 percent of cases, my customers are a pleasure to work for. In the case of a difficult customer, I do everything I can to keep them happy. That’s part of business.

How does your business give back or get involved in the community?

Being a “one man gig” operation, I personally give back to the community by the time I spend being a volunteer firefighter. I have been a member of Dodgingtown Fire Department for 15 years (since 2000) and am currently service as Assistant Chief of the department. Liberty Computer Services supports local schools and non-profit organizations through donations and advertisements in their sports program guides, calendars and being a sponsor for different events.
