Newtown Woman Wins Big Lottery Prize in May

NEWTOWN, CT — According to the CT Lottery website, 100 Connecticut residents won prizes of $10,000 or more during the month of May on various lottery games. One Newtown residents won a prize totaling $10,000. In addition, a second winning ticket was also purchased in town by a state resident.

See a breakdown of the winners below:

• Kelly Pinckney of Newtown won a $10,000 10x 11th edition prize at J&R Newtown Road Business Service in Danbury on May 8.
• Melanie Caiazza of Bridgewater won a $10,000 Play4 Day prize at the Big Y grocery store in Newtown on May 23.
