Obituary: Dorothy S. Johnson, 87, of Newtown

Dorothy S. Johnson, also known as Pammie, passed away peacefully on May 9, 2017 at Maplewood of Newtown. Dorothy was born on June 11th, 1929 in Stamford, CT to the late Jennie (Olson) and Carl Stich.

Wife of the late Harold Johnson Jr., Dorothy is survived by her son, Carl Johnson (Susan), daughters, Jennifer Decker (Brian) and Lauren Johnson, sisters, Carla Wurst (Bill) and Nancy Fischer. She was the loving grandmother to Alex Decker, Jessica Lievense (Brian), Nicholas Horvath, Amanda Johnson, Courtney Horvath, Catherine Johnson, Lucas Horvath and great grandmother to Meila Johnson.

Dorothy moved to Danbury in 1956. She worked at Rogers Park Junior High as Blue House secretary for 20 years. She was an active member of the community participating in Danbury Jaycees, American Cancer Society, Danbury Hatters, Danbury Senior Center and Brookfield Senior Center.
