Police Blotter: Forged Check, Copper Wire Theft

The latest reports from the Newtown Police Department include arrests for forgery and an ongoing theft investigation.

 

February 27:

Police arrested a 22-year-old Bronx woman for trying to pass a forged check at Newtown Pharmacy on Church Hill Road at about 4:30 p.m. Shadae Harrison, of Baychester Ave., was held on $10,000 bond.

March 1:

Police are investigating a theft at a Ridge Road residence. According to reports, sometime between February 26 at 2 p.m. and February 27 at 11 a.m., someone entered the home and cut copper pipes from the basement. Anyone with information is asked to call Officer Smith at (203) 426-5841.
