Police: Three Arrested After Waving Realistic BB Gun at Park

According to reports, two minors and one adult were charged with Threatening and Breach of Peace.

According to reports from the Newtown Police Department, two minors and an 18-year-old were arrested Tuesday after one allegedly brandished what police say was a realistic BB gun.

At about 5:35 p.m. on March 5, police responded to the skate park at Dickinson Park for a report of a car with three men, one of whom had allegedly waved what appeared to be a black handgun after an argument. After what police say was an intensive investigation, they identified two juveniles and 18-year-old Jacques Carter of Danbury.

Both minors were arrested. Carter was arrested later by Danbury police, who allegedly found what they say was a "BB gun handgun replica" matching the witness's description. He was held on $5,000 bond and taken to Danbury Superior Court.
