NEWTOWN, CT — A swift response from firefighters prevented a potential disaster after a vehicle caught fire near gas pumps late Monday night, according to Newtown Hook & Ladder.
Police officers arriving first confirmed the vehicle was dangerously close to the pumps, heightening the risk of escalation. Firefighters quickly extinguished the flames before the blaze could spread, officials said.
No injuries were reported.
