Sandy Hook Small Business Spotlight: Peachy Clean

Our small business series shines a light on local business owners in the community.

Every local business has a story worth sharing with the community. And that’s the belief behind this exciting series — to shine the spotlight on all our favorite local businesses, and to learn a little about the ones we may not know that well.

How did you come up with the name?

When someone would ask me how I was doing I would reply “Peachy keen jellybean” and the name just sort of stuck!

Why start a business in this town?

My goal is to build up a business from scratch and pass it down to my daughter. She is still actively testing for possible Autism. I put this plan in place for her to fall back on when she becomes an adult. I also wanted to show both of my kids the importance of hard work, passion and goals.

Briefly, what business are you in?

Residential & Commercial Cleaning. Vehicle detailing as well (weather permitting),

What’s the most difficult moment or challenge you’ve faced as a business owner?

I am a people pleaser. I try to make all of my clients happy and satisfied to the best of my ability. But unfortunately you can’t please everyone all the time no matter how hard you try. Failure happens to the best of us!

What’s been your favorite moment or proudest achievement since opening?

Seeing my clients smile and be so happy with the end results!

How does your business give back or get involved in the community?

I try to give the “average Joe” an affordable, competitive price for an upscale luxury to enjoy. Its nice to come home from a hard day at work and your living space is mess free. It enables you to do more important things such as spending time with your children instead of having to clean and do house chores!
