Sandy Hook Woman Arrested for Violation of Protective Order, Breach of Peace
BREAKING: Police were called to the Berkshire Road area for a 'health and welfare check' after a woman was said to be 'manic' in the area.

SANDY HOOK, CT — The Newtown Police Department arrested a local woman after they were alerted that she was walking down Berkshire Road and appeared to be "manic," according to a police report. Katherine Anne Sullivan, 51, of Sandy Hook, was found in the area of Yogananda and High Rock Road when police were called to the Berkshire Road area for a health and welfare check.
Sullivan was arrested for six counts of first degree failure to appear, violation of a protective order and breach of peace, police said. Her bond was set at $37,500 and she was given a court date of Aug. 15, 2016. Court records show she was arrested in April of 2015 for harassment and in 2014 for risk of injury to a child. She is next due in court on Aug. 30, 2016.
