School Board Holds March Community Forum
The March Community Forum will be held on Mar. 29 in the lecture hall at Newtown HS and will discuss the school start time.
From Newtown School Board: The March Community Forum will be held on Wednesday, March 29, starting at 7:00 p.m. in the Lecture Hall at Newtown High School. (This forum was previously scheduled for March 22.)
The school board encourages parents to attend as the School Start Time Committee has just begun its work of researching the issue. This study by the Newtown Board of Education will include the community voice and the opinion of multiple stakeholders. The committee will bring a detailed report to the Board in June 2017. The forum will allow all in attendance to share their voice directly to committee members.
