Town of Newtown Announces Pool Information
The high school pool has closed for the season. Treadwell Pool and Eichler's Cove Beach open Saturday, May 28.

The high school pool closes for the season this week. Wednesday, May 19 was the last open swim night. Thursday, May 19 was the morning swim. Treadwell Pool and Eichler’s Cove Beach will be open Saturday, May 28.
Treadwell Pool and Eichler’s Cove Beach hours are as followed: May 28 through June 19 on Monday and Wednesday (noon to 8 p.m.), Tuesday, Thursday and Friday (noon to 7 p.m.), Saturday and Sunday (10 a.m. to 7 p.m.); June 20 through Aug. 22 on Monday and Wednesday (11 a.m. to 8 p.m.), Tuesday, Thursday and Friday (11 a.m. to 7 p.m.), Saturday and Sunday (10 a.m. to 7 p.m.); Aug. 23 through Sept. 4 on Monday and Wednesday (2:30-8 p.m.), Tuesday, Thursday and Friday (2:30-7 p.m.), Saturday and Sunday (10 a.m. to 7 p.m.); Sept. 5 (Labor Day) from 1-7 p.m.

Pool and beach memberships for 2016 are available online.
Residents are encouraged to take advantage of online registration. Staff will mail pool and beach passes within five business days. Residents must ascertain that their household information is up to date. Membership cards must be shown to gain admittance to Treadwell Pool and Eichler’s Cove Beach. Multiple families living in one household must pay per family. Proof of household address is required for all members 18 years and older.

Interested individuals without access to computers may use the Newtown Parks and Recreation Department's public computer Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or the C.H. Booth Library computers for signup.
Residency is defined as a person whose primary residence, either as an owner or a renter, is in Newtown and is considered a Newtown resident. There is no exception to this rule. Proof of residency might be required.
The Treadwell Park Pool and Eichler’s Cove Beach combination pass availability is as followed: FDT Family for $200, IDT Individual for $75, Day Pass for $15, DUSE Daily Pass for $50 (six visits) and the Senior Pass, which is free for citizens 60 years of age and older.
Nonresident membership is as followed: FNON Family for $400, INON Individual for $150, DAYN Day Pass for $30 and DUSENR Daily Pass for $100 (six visits).
Lost swim passes may be replaced with receipt or canceled check. Residents must be $10 per replaced card. Nonresidents must pay $20 per replaced card.
Money will not be collected at the pool/beach gate for daily/day passes. The daily pass includes six individual visits, one visit per person, and may be purchased online prior to visiting the facility. Individuals must be sure to print a receipt or purchase at the Newtown Parks and Recreation office during open hours. Receipts must be brought to Treadwell Pool/Eichler’s Cove Beach, and the gate attendant will stamp number of visits used. Unused Daily Passes do not expire; they can be used from summer to summer.
