2 In Custody After Foxon Road Dollar General Morning Robbery: Police
When cops got there, 1 person was in the parking lot inside a stolen car, another was inside the store during the reported robbery, cops say
NORTH BRANFORD, CT — An early morning 911 caller reported to authorities that the Foxon Road Dollar General was being robbed, police said.
North Branford police Cpl. Pacelli arrived on the scene and found a vehicle that had been reported stolen from New Haven on Sunday in the store parking lot, police said. A passenger inside the vehicle "was cooperative and taken into custody," police wrote on Facebook.
But inside the store, cops found a "second suspect, who was not cooperative and attempted to attack and resist officers," police wrote. That person was taken into custody and later transported to Yale New Haven hospitals for minor injuries, police said.

"We are thankful for the quick reporting of this incident by the store employee and the quick response of all of our officers who responded to the scene," police wrote on Facebook. "No store employees or customers were injured in this incident."
This investigation is ongoing and charges for are forthcoming, police said.
