Cool Beans! Town Welcomes Poppop’s Coffee Shop To Northford Center

NORTH BRANFORD, CT — The town is "thrilled" to welcome Poppop’s Coffee Shop to Northford Center, Town Manager Michael Downes said.

Poppop’s celebrates its grand opening Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at its 1355 Middletown Ave., location.

"Poppop’s is the dream of two brothers, Brandon & Ryan LoRusso, named in tribute to their late grandfather, Roy Hinkelman," Downes said. "Roy believed in the ability of a good cup of coffee to solve any problem, and the LoRusso brothers hope to bring that philosophy to their new business."

The new coffee shop serves premium espresso and drip coffee drinks, seasonal lattes, as well as a variety of teas and pastry.

"Their homemade syrups set them apart," Downes said. "Their cozy space is the perfect place to meet friends and family, study, or work."

Poppop’s hours are: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Saturdays, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. The shop is closed Wednesday and Sunday.
