Dolores “Queen” Carangelo Falanga, 88, passed away on Jan. 25, 2025, a Wilbur Cross High School graduate and former co-owner of Bill’s Hardware in North Haven who took pride in her work and treasured time with her family.
Joseph E. “Joe Ponz” Ponzio, 84, passed away on Jan. 16, 2025, a U.S. Army veteran who spent his career as a mail carrier in Wooster Square, built lifelong friendships with coworkers and childhood friends, enjoyed playing setback and following horse races at the First Independence Club and Saint Andrew’s Society Club, and was known throughout the community for his humor and loyalty.

Robert John Dellert, 83, passed away on Jan. 12, 2025, a dedicated mathematics teacher at Eli Whitney Technical High School for 35 years, a two-time Teacher of the Year recipient, a summer school principal and recreation director, a youth sports coach, an avid Yankees and UConn basketball fan, a passionate camper who loved annual trips to Point Sebago, a motorhome traveler who explored the U.S. and beyond, and an active member of St. Augustine’s Church and the Knights of Columbus.
Richard A. Levchuk, 61, died on Jan. 20, 2025, after a career as a driver for the Greater New Haven Transit Company, enjoying outdoor activities and family time, survived by his children, grandchildren, and brother.

Animal-loving retiree Mary Horn Keller, 88, who worked for over 30 years, enjoyed puttering in her home and yard, taking day trips, listening to music, and was a dedicated member of St. Monica's Parish, died Jan. 19, 2025.
William “Bill” Smith, 95, passed away on Jan. 12, 2025, after a short illness; he served in the Navy on the USS Johnston, worked at SNET for many years, managed the SNET Men’s softball team, and enjoyed attending grandchildren’s events and trips with his wife, Betty.
