”Take 5, A Gala Celebration celebrates the community that has made Legacy possible," said Keely Baisden Knudsen, Co-Founder and Executive Artistic Director. “When Co-Founder Stephanie Stiefel Williams and I envisioned Legacy Theatre some fourteen years ago, we never dreamed we would have such a beautiful theatrical home in Stony Creek, now in its fifth season, open to fabulous, celebrated seasons of theatre, classes and events. It’s remarkable what a community gathering together to make something truly special can do!”
First Selectman Jamie Cosgrove commented: "Legacy exemplifies the area’s emergence as an arts destination. Legacy offers residents professional culture without leaving “home”."
Opening its doors in 2021, Legacy has welcomed 40,000+ patrons in five years. Gala proceeds ensure affordable ticket prices and continued anchoring of professional theatre on the shoreline.
