NORTH BRANFORD, CT — His April 9 trial approaching, where he stands accused of the stabbing death of his daughter's dog in 2023, Arnaldo Silva was again arrested and charged by North Branford police, this time for filing a false incident report.
Silva, 53, was arrested March 31 based on an incident report he filed with police, now determined as being a false incident report, police announced. That false report is untrelated to his existing animal cruelty case.
In November 2023, Silva, of North Branford, was charged with first degree animal cruelty for maliciously killing his daughter's dog, a Class D felony, police said and court records show. He was also charged with second-degree threatening at the time.
