Newly Certified, Jennifer Gurley-Langdon Sworn In As New Deputy Town Clerk

Gurley-Langdon, Assistant Town Clerk​​ for the past four years, was sworn in this week after unanimous confirmation by Town Council.

NORTH BRANFORD, CT — Jennifer Gurley-Langdon is North Branford's new Deputy Town Clerk. She was sworn in this week after unanimous confirmation by the Town Council Tuesday.

Gurley-Langdon has worked in the Town Clerk's Office for the past four years as Assistant Town Clerk, and has recently completed her clerk certification.

Lt. Governor Susan Bysiewicz was on hand to present Gurley-Langdon with her official Clerk certification from the Connecticut Town Clerk’s Association last week during its fall conference.

This culminates two and a half years of work and study in the field and passing five modules of examination, Town Manager Michael Downes said.

The Town Manager appointed her to the post. Gurley-Langdon replaces Suzanne Ashman, who retired earlier this month.
