North Branford Election 2015 Results: Changes in Leadership
Voters approved a change in town hall leadership.

Democrats took over control of the North Branford Town Council with a 5-4 advantage at the close of polls Tuesday.
There were 12 candidates running for the nine council seats. Elected were Republicans Michael Doody, Rose Marie Angeloni, Alfred Rose and Anthony Candelora. The Democrats elected were Joseph Faughnan, Marie Diamond, George Miller, Daniel Armin and Chris Manna, according to The Courant.
Defeated in the council run were Republicans Shawna Papa-Holzer and Joane Wentworth, and Democrat Francis Lescovich.

Before the election, the town council Republicans held a five to four majority. And because he earned the most votes, Doody will serve as mayor and Faughnan will be deputy mayor.
