North Branford Man, 33, Lured Minor Girls Into Sex Online: Feds
Man accused of using online apps to entice young girls to engage in sexual activity; receives 14-year prison sentence.
NORTH BRANFORD, CT — Daniel Fleischauer, 33, of North Branford, was sentenced today by U.S. District Judge Janet C. Hall in New Haven to 168 months of imprisonment, followed by 10 years of supervised release, for enticing minors to engage in sexual activity online, federal authorities announced.
According to court documents and statements made in court, between approximately 2013 and 2017, Fleischauer communicated with minor females on internet applications, including Kik and Cypher, officials said.
He met and befriended the minors online, developed friendships with them over time, and then exploited those friendships, federal authorities say. At times, his communications with the minor females turned to sexual topics, officials said.
