North Branford Public Library System Seeks A Part-Time Library Assistant

The Town of North Branford is accepting applications for the position of part-time Library Assistant to work in the Atwater and Smith Libraries.

In the role, the assistant works closely with the public.

The Library Assistant helps with the implementation of library services and offers support in the daily operation of the town's library service, and provides assistance to library users. This position requires a passion for helping people in a welcoming and engaging manner.

Variable schedule includes both evening and weekend hours, with availability to substitute for other staff members. A part-time role, the assistant reports to the Library Director/Assistant Library Director/Librarian.

The minimum qualifications for the job are:•

High school diploma or equivalent required

• One (1) year of relevant work or volunteer experience in a library, education or customer service related field

• Any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training may be considered.
