Poppy‘s restaurant has been serving North Branford for over 52 years. Within our 52 years of business, Poppys restaurant has never been closed  for more than a day or two. Not only did the shut down devastate and affect us. It also affected our customers.. over the years we have built a strong rapport with our customers in the community of North Branford with that being said we’re happy to report that we are now back in business and look forward to seeing you all each, and everyone of you were truly missed.

NORTH BRANFORD, CT — A 31-year-old Northford man has been arrested and faces charges for indecent solicitation of a child through the internet. Rhode Island authorities said that on Tuesday, members of the Computer Crimes Unit/Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force arrested Geoffrey DeMatteo, of White Hollow Road, Northford, for Indecent Solicitation of a Child. DeMatteo was special arraigned at State Police Headquarters by a Justice of the Peace, issued $3,000 surety bail and remanded to the Adult Correctional Institutions. DeMatteo was rearraigned in Third Division District Court on Thursday.

A Northford man was arrested by Rhode Island authorities for trying to solicit a child over the Internet, police said.
