Obituary: James J. Setaro, 58, of North Branford
James, a devoted son, was known for his love of the outdoors, warm heart, enthusiasm and his culinary skills.
NORTH BRANFORD, CT - (From Keenan Funeral Home) James J. Setaro (Jay), 58, son of the late Michael J. Setaro and Rita Ziolkowski Setaro, passed away suddenly on February 21, 2022.
James was a longtime resident of North Branford.
He was a caregiver to his mother and a plumber/handyman.
He had a love for schooner sailing, fishing, building fishing rods and watching football.
Jay was a lover of nature and many times shared pictures of animals, flowers or whatever made him smile to share the enthusiasm.
But most of all he was known for his culinary skills, always preparing something delicious and amazing.
He had a great knowledge of many subjects, always making for interesting conversations and he had a warm heart.
James is survived by his sister, Cynthia Stone of Guilford, better known as UJ to his nephew Raymond III and niece Carissa and his great nephews and niece Gavin, Elise, Ryan and Riley. He was predeceased by his brother Michael Jr.
Friends may visit Keenan Funeral Home, 330 Notch Hill Road, North Branford to pay their respects 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. on Monday, February 28, 2022 followed by the funeral procession to Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery, Durham Road, Wallingford.
