Obituary: JoAnn Dahlquist, 83, Of North Branford

JoAnn M. Dahlquist, 83, of North Branford passed away January 4th, 2023 at Yale New Haven Hospital after a short illness. She was born December 27th, 1939 in New Haven, CT.

JoAnn was a loving wife and mother who was dedicated to raising her family with traditional values. She and her husband Ron were a very loving couple who enjoyed 60 years of marriage together. They were an inspiration to everyone and an example to all on how to live a happy and loving life. JoAnn was active in her church as a Catechism teacher. She loved reading and was a volunteer at the North Branford Library. She also enjoyed crocheting, cooking, a day at the beach with her family, and sailing and motorcycling with her husband.

JoAnn is predeceased by her parents Rose and Pasquale Manguso, her in-laws Frances and Harold Conroy, and her sisters Karen Dyer and Loretta Mack. She is survived by her husband Carl Ronald Dahlquist, her son Eric (Eileen) Dahlquist, her daughter Diana (Jeff) Dettmann, and her beloved grandchildren, Julia and Sam Dettmann. She is also survived by her sister Patricia Lentz, her sisters-in-law Patricia (Larry) Page and Carol Santacroce, and many loving nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Keenan Funeral Home, 330 Notch Hill Road, North Branford on Tuesday, January 10th, 2023 at 5:00pm — 7:00pm.

Mass will be held at St. Augustine Church, 30 Caputo Road, North Branford on Wednesday January 11th, 2023 at 11am. Burial will follow at St. Agnes Cemetery in Branford
