Obituary: Tracy (Mingione) Proto, 53 of North Branford

Tracy (Mingione) Proto, 53 of North Branford passed away October 31, 2023 at St. Raphael Campus of Yale New Haven Hospital, from complications associated to a recent illness. She was born March 28, 1970 in New Haven. Tracy is survived by her loving husband of 23 years, Andrew Proto, their daughter, Natalia Proto and her parents Mary Tracy of Branford and George Mingione (Marie) of North Branford. She is also survived by three siblings, George Mingione (Trinity) of Florida, Dina Falcioni (Jay) of North Branford and Nicholas Mingione of Madison along with several nieces/nephews.

Upon graduation,Tracy worked for years as a staple in the medical field in the greater New Haven area until she ultimately traded in her scrubs to be a full time mom. Tracy was an avid hockey fan, and takes credit for home coaching her New York Rangers to several wins. When not coaching you could usually find her and Andy enjoying their Harley or spending time with their family and her dog “Ranger”. Tracy was known for her wit and had the ability to put a smile on the face of anyone she met. Although her time with us was too short, she leaves us all with great memories and laughs that will last forever.

Family will receive friends on Monday, November 6, 2023 from 4 P.M. until the time of service at 6:30 P.M. in the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home & Cremation Service (Clancy Funeral Home), 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven.

Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to the Connecticut Children’s Foundation Research Institute.
