Poston Brothers Of North Branford Honored With Quilts of Valor

The Poston family, brothers Zak and Seth and their mother Kathy, all served in the U.S. Army. Now, each has received a Quilt of Valor.

NORTH BRANFORD, CT — At the July 1 meeting of the North Branford Veterans Service Commission, brothers Zak and Seth Poston were presented quilts from Quilts of Valor, Town Manager Michael Downes said.

Zak Poston served in the US Army from 2000 to 2006 and was discharged at the rank of E4. He is the current chairman of the Veterans Service Commission.

Seth Poston served in the US Army from 2000 to 2009, and was discharged at the rank of E5.

Chuck Larkins, a member of the VSC, and his wife Claire, who are Quilts of Valor members, made the presentation.

Their mother, Kathy Poston, is the town’s municipal veterans representative, served in the US Army from 1976 to 1979, and was also presented a Quilt of Valor at the Veterans Day Luncheon at the Stanley T. Williams Community Center last November.

"We thank the Poston family for their service to our nation," Downes said.
