Town Manager: Health Dept. Provides Covid Rapid Tests For Residents
North Branford Town Manager Michael Downes said the free iHealth antigen rapid tests have 2 tests per kit and give results in 15 minutes.

NORTH BRANFORD, CT — The town is making more COVID-19 rapid home tests available to residents following a new distribution of the test kits from the East Shore Health District.
The antigen rapid tests from iHealth come with two tests per kit and provide results within 15 minutes.
The COVID-19 testing kits are available for pickup without an appointment at two locations in town:

- North Branford Town Hall - Town Manager’s Office 909 Foxon Rd., North Branford 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
- Stanley T. Williams Community and Senior Center – Front Desk 1332 Middletown Ave., Northford 5:30 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 5:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 7 a.m.- 12 p.m. on Sunday
The federal government is also currently making available more COVID home tests which can be obtained by visiting covid.gov/tests online or calling 800-232-0233.
Residents should note that in observation of the Christmas and New Year’s holidays, Town Hall and the Parks and Recreation office will be closed at noon on Friday, December 23rd, and Friday, December 30th, Saturday and Sunday both holiday weekends, and closed all day on Monday, December 26th, and Monday, January 2nd. Those planning to pick up test kits should plan accordingly.
