Brush Fire Closes Roads In North Haven: Officials

Firefighters are at the scene of a brush fire and are working to keep it from spreading to nearby homes, according to officials.

NORTH HAVEN, CT — Crews are at the scene of a brush fire in North Haven, according to officials.

A brush fire was reported around 4:45 p.m. Friday in the area of 268 Upper State St. (Sinoway Pond), according to fire officials.

“As of this time the fire continues with all available North Haven FD apparatus on scene,” officials wrote in a post on the North Haven Fire Department’s Facebook page around 5:30 p.m. “Firefighters are working to keep the fire from spreading to nearby homes. Parts of Upper State St and Hartford Turnpike remain closed.”
