Lane Closures Announced For Bridge Work On I-91 In North Haven

The project is expected to be completed on Oct. 25, according to officials.

WALLINGFORD, CT — The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) announced this week that bridge work will be performed on I-91 northbound and the Exit 48 off-ramp from I-95 northbound to I-91 northbound in New Haven, North Haven and Wallingford.

The project, which was scheduled to begin Sunday, Sept. 22, is expected to be completed on Friday, Oct. 25. This project ensures the bridges remain in a state of good repair.

There will be lane closures on I-91 northbound and Exit 48 off of I-95 from Sunday, Sept. 22 to Friday, Oct. 25, 2024, from 7:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. Lane traffic control signing patterns and State Troopers will guide motorists through the work zone.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
