The new coach succeeds legendary baseball coach Bob DeMayo, who retired in August after leading the program for more than 60 years.
NORTH HAVEN, CT — Joseph Romanelli has been hired to succeed legendary coach Bob DeMayo as the new North Haven High School baseball coach, officials announced Thursday.

“We are very excited to have Coach Romanelli as North Haven’s next baseball coach at North Haven High School,” North Haven Athletic Director Steve Blumenthal said. “It is not easy to follow in the footsteps of someone who has coached the baseball program for 64 years. But, the committee unanimously felt that Coach Romanelli has the skills and knowledge to set the baseball program on a new path. We have every confidence in Joe to lead North Haven High School Baseball successfully.”
